For the latest Zimmermann fashion film Andy Swartz wanted to create a dynamic piece with a high end luxury feel.
The film was scheduled to be shot in the late afternoon and into the night.
For beautiful natural light, a mansion in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles was the chosen location.
Like many fashion campaigns Stills photography and video double up and shoot in tandem, taking turns per look.
Harvey Glen based in Los Angeles came onboard to Operate the Arri Trinity 2.
'The Trinity lends it's self as the perfect tool, as it's so efficient to achieve push in/ out, moves around the model, rotate the camera 360 and most importantly the ability to go from low to high all in one shot. This maximises the number of different quality shots you can cover per look in such a short amount of time.
On average, as the video team, we have 5-10mins to cover each look. This can also include shoes and accessories. This is ample time to get at least 6-8 dynamic individual shots and a freestyle pass, which makes the client incredibly happy!'
Without the worry of recording sound, operating to music allows both the model and operator to find the beat and move together.
